IndiRaga Brussels - Search Indie

IndiRaga is an organisation aimed at bringing Indian Classical Performing Arts to the shores of Belgium. IndiRaga, a fledgeling currently, is an earnest effort by like-minded individuals to educate & inform about, and embed the rich music & dance genre of Indian Classical system into mainstream classical performing arts space in Belgium, slowly but surely, one beat at a time.

We collaborate with other organizations & individuals who work to foster cultural ties between these two countries in the realm of classical performing arts.

While many groups of Indians & non-Indians interested to explore the classical arts from the “colourful” country exist in Belgium, it is precisely this fragmentation that leads to unsustainable & irregular exposure to music & dance from India here, leaving enthusiasts starving for good concert content on a regular basis.

IndiRaga hopes to bridge this gap by soliciting well-established & upcoming artists from the sub-continent on a regular basis (at least 3 an year for starters), to showcase not only their talents to deserving audiences here, but also to showcase Belgium as a truly international country on par with many cosmopolitan capitals of the world. That classical performing arts space is open-minded, thriving & inclusive in Brussels – is an impression we owe to make for this tiny country that is now home to many of us. #Sprouttobebrussels.
